The Healthy Living Hub aims to provide a friendly welcoming space in the heart of the city. The Hub is run by the Kingsway Wellbeing Project which Is a charity which was established in December 2018. The charity was set up with the aim to bring low cost health and wellbeing services to Swansea city centre
We aim to develop a range of classes to suit everyone that help to promote fitness and wellbeing at a low price.
We want to provide everyone with the opportunity to access classes like yoga, tai chi and pilates to help with strength, fitness and mental wellbeing. We also have a small gym that is used daily throughout the week by patients of the Kingsway Surgery. We hope to be able to open up our gym facilities during evenings and weekends soon.
With no memberships required and an easy online booking system we aim to make fitness and wellbeing fun, flexible and accessible to all.
As well as access to classes, users of the Healthy Living hub will also be able to purchase drinks and snacks from our Healthy Snack Shack. Again these items will be low cost.
We are also working in partnership with Tesco to also provide free fruit to users of the HLH.
The Healthy Living Hub is a great place to get information to help you follow a healthy lifestyle.
Come and speak to one of our volunteer health champions and receive friendly advice and support on becoming more active. You can pick up a free Get Up & Go! guide which has information on a range of exciting activities available locally including those based at the heathy living hub. You can also have a free NHS Health Check at the Hub, pop in to book an appointment. Our volunteers will be happy to chat with you about exercise, healthy eating, things you can do to improve your wellbeing and where to go for help to stop smoking.
