Ed Milliband, Minister for the Third Sector, spent the afternoon meeting the Healthy Living Hub steering group members, plus other interested groups and supporters, and talking with them about the £30 Million Community Asset Fund. This money will be available for community groups to manage assets in their local area, and The Racecourse HLH Project was promoted by Sally Keeble, MP, as the ideal opportunity to pilot this initiaitive. The Minister was impressed "how far ahead" the HLH Project is in terms of a community organisation taking the lead to rejuvenate this important community facility.
